‘One
of the radical heroes of our age … A towering intellect.’ The
Guardian
Noam
Chomsky is universally regarded as one of the most brilliant writers
and thinkers alive today. He is among the ten most frequently cited
writers in the humanities, and is the only living member of this
list.
Originally
famous for his ground-breaking work in linguistics – his book Syntactic
Structures (1957) radically changed accepted views on language –
he also writes on politics and international affairs. His support
for human rights and his tireless capacity to critique tyranny,
injustice and inequality in all its forms has made him a key figure
for the anti-capitalist and anti-globalization movements. He is
perhaps the world’s leading critic of US imperialism. He is
Institute Professor in the Department of Linguistics and Philosophy
at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Pluto Press publishes many of Noam Chomsky’s books on international
politics, the media, US foreign policy, the Middle East and other
topics. See below for selected highlights, or click on the links

States, Israel and the Palestinians
Noam Chomsky
Publication

‘The most ambitious book
ever attempted on the conflict between Zionism and the
Palestinians ... a great and important book.’ Edward
Said, London Review of Books
‘A monumental work.’ Choice
Since its original publication
in 1983, Fateful Triangle has become a classic in the
fields of Middle East affairs. This new edition features
new chapters and a new introduction by Chomsky and a
foreword by Edward Said. Examining America’s search
for a ‘reliable ally’ in the Middle East, Chomsky untangles
the intricacies of the US-Israeli-Palestinian relationship
and lays bare the contortions, lies and misinformation
that have been used over the years to obscure the real
agenda.
